I think that there isn't really a difference between a sense of belonging and actual belonging because you would feel the same if you thought you belonged as if you would when you did belong.
Hi Valeria here And I think that if you sense you belong to a group most likely you don't belong to the group but if you belong to a group you usually always hang out together and sometimes even chat on the phone.
I think that I belong to the Jewish community and the Italian society.
